The "Zäskämer Zwewwlfescht" (Zeiskamer Zwiebelfest) always takes place on the first weekend in August around the Fuchsbachhalle (Bahnhofstraße). The organizer is the choral society Frohsinn e.V. Zeiskam.

As the host community, Zeiskam is strongly influenced by agriculture. The fields around Zeiskam belong to the most fertile soils in the Rhine plain and thus also in Germany, which is why one also speaks of the "vegetable garden of Germany".

The village, which calls itself the "onion village", offers a wonderful setting with its picturesque half-timbered houses.

Here not only the reigning "onion queen" (regional sovereignty) makes her appearance, but also the Zeiskamer "onion stallion", the village mascot. This is a life-size horse figure that is pulled through the village in a procession and is peppered all over with onions.
